Preference might be to limit youngsters' spending via a "stored value" option instead of tying back to parents' credit card.

Disney has been testing the concept for awhile. Appears they are trying to overcome the "branded" point that Duane made previously by providing nearly limitless options to personalize and keep as a souvenir. There is a page on the DizFantatic website written by Michael DiMare that gives an insider's view on the process, including photos of the prototypes and a link to Disney's FCC application for anyone who is interested.

I used it myself. it was nice. We were a group of us at the resort. The general feeling of being "branded' as a guest of GWL when we left the resort and having to wear them ALL the time was not the favorit thing. Consumer drive this method of payment- some may see it with Disney as a thing to keep after the visit, some may see it as an annoyance to wear. Training the user that it is a good this is the challenge. That and when it rains, they are a bugger to get to work right sometimes in the outdoor NFC. My Bottom line, not a game enhancer in NFC for a while......
