Apple Rolls Out Third Beta for iOS 10

Apple Updates Beta OS Update

They say behind every successful man is a woman — just like they say behind every successful product launch is a long line of software beta releases that got the kinks out of the way before public release.

Apple stands by the latter claim at least, as it’s released the third beta for the next iteration of its desktop and mobile operating systems, TechCrunch reported. Apple’s iOS, macOS, tvOS and watchOS products have all had updated versions released ahead of the official launch come the fall. However, save for device owners that signed up for Apple’s public beta program, the unfinished OS builds are accessible only to developers who have paid the relevant $99 fee for access.

Each individual update includes its own specific changes. For example, the newest iOS beta adds functionality to Siri and installs a new Messages app; the watchOS 3 beta accelerates the load time for apps. TechCrunch noted that, if no major flaws are found in the betas, they could be pushed live in a few days’ time.
