Three Dutch Banks Partner For NFC Pilot

ABN Amro, ING, and Rabobank – three Dutch banks – have announced a partnership to launch an NFC pilot in the city of Leiden. The three banks will also work with mobile operator KPN, the municipality of Leiden, and MasterCard. The pilot will see 1,000 consumers who have an account with one of the three banks and are customers of KPN trial NFC mobile payments around the city. The trial will take place this summer.
