Norway’s telecom company, Telenor, revealed its Valyou NFC mobile will be commercially launched by 2013’s third quarter. The NFC wallet is a result of collaboration with banking group DNB. TSM Nordic, owned by both Telenor and DNB, will serve as the carrier’s service manager.
“By 2020, we will use our mobile phone for payments more frequently than credit cards,” said Telenor Digital Services’ Viktoria Erngard. “We believe this service is more secure than a bank card.”
