Smartphones to Deliver Most eCommerce Customers by 2014

A new study estimates that 26.4 billion visits to e-commerce websites will take place on smartphones in 2014, representing 53.2 percent of all e-commerce traffic.

Conducted by Branding Brand, the study is based on traffic to the websites of retailers on Internet Retailer’s Top 500 Guide. The study forms a baseline with 2010 data, and assumes certain growth rates over the next few years, Internet Retailer says.
