Amazon Starts Asking Users Which Deals They Like
The newest user tool at AmazonLocal lets consumers pick which deals they get to see.
Dubbed Deals Preferences, shoppers can choose whether they “like,” “dislike,” or are “neutral” about certain types of deals, like vacation offers or health treatments, Internet Retailer reports.
Other popular daily deal platforms have installed similar features. For example, Google Offers contains such a tool, Internet Retailer notes, and Groupon uses buttons to communicate with subscribers over which deals they prefer. On the other hand, LivingSocial lacks a personalization mechanism, IR says.
