100M Facebook Users Only Use Mobile To Access The Social Network
As Facebook continues to flesh out its role in the larger eCommerce space, it’s becoming clearer that mobile solutions will be key for that strategy.
The latest reinforcement of that notion: new data from Facebook’s latest 10-Q filing show that more than 100 million of its users access Facebook exclusively from their mobile devices. That number represents 18.7 percent of all 543 million of Facebook’s mobile users.
Also noted in the 10-Q: the network’s U.S. growth is slowing, relative to the rest of the world. Globally, Facebook’s user base is growing at a 30 percent rate each year, but in the U.S. that rate sits at just 10 percent.
