PayPal Sees Apple, Google As Potential Partners; Not Worried About Square

PayPal Vice President of Global Product Hill Ferguson recently opined on the futures of several payments (or potential payments) players, including Apple, Google, and Square, at a recent conference hosted by VentureBeat.
 
PayPal sees Apple and Google as “fantastic potential partners,” VB’s John Koetsier notes, while declining to give as much credit to its mobile-focused payments competitor.
 
“Though that company can facilitate very personal commerce — put it on Bob’s bill,” Koetsier writes, “he says it is not going to work very well at Safeway.”
