Facebook Launches Its Own App Store, For Every Mobile OS

Facebook debuted its own App Store at a special event Wednesday night.

The platform will be home to more than 600 apps at launch. The store will sort apps by featured picks, social rank, and best overall as determined by Facebook’s own staff, and work with every mobile operating system, TechCrunch says.

In May, Facebook sent its users to Apple’s App Store 83 million times.
