Report: Consumers Prefer SMS Coupons To Bar Code Scans, Push Notifications
Consumers prefer mobile coupons as their main choice of mobile offer, according to a new report from RadiumOne.
The report found that 42.3 percent of consumers prefer SMS-based coupons over bar code scanning and push notifications, and that 61.9 percent of all consumers redeem coupons, reports Mobile Commerce Daily.
The report, titled “Improving the Performance of Mobile Coupons,” also showed that 51.5 percent of smartphone users prefer displaying a coupon to a cashier to redeem, while 23.8 prefer scanning-based methods.
