comScore: U.S. Holiday Shopping Jumps 14 Percent To $42.3 Billion

comScore’s final analysis of the 2012 U.S. holiday season indicates that consumers spent $42.3 billion between November 1 and December 2.

The number represents a 14 percent increase over a year ago, but fell short of comScore’s estimate of 16 percent growth, notes TechCrunch.
