Wright Express and PaySpan Bring Virtual Payments to Healthcare

Wright Express is expanding the use of its virtual payment service — already seeing applications in travel and claims — to healthcare, through a partnership with PaySpan.

PaySpan’s scale in the healthcare industry includes more than 100 health plans, representing more than 50 million policyholders and more than 300,000 provider payees.

Wright Express’ David D. Maxsimic says virtual payments will reduce resource use, increase security, and generally provide assistance to a business sector with “increasingly complex payment solution needs.”
