ATM Fee Collusion Lawsuit Dismissed
U.S. District Judge Amy Berman has dismissed an antitrust lawsuit alleging that several major U.S. financial institutions conspired to fix ATM fees, reports Reuters.
Visa, MasterCard, JPMorgan Chase, Bank of America and Wells Fargo were accused of colluding in three lawsuits in which individual consumers, 13 ATM operators and the National ATM Council served as plaintiffs.
"Notwithstanding plaintiffs' adamant insistence that consumers are being overcharged, the court simply could not find facts to support that contention," Jackson wrote as part of her dismissal.
