Report: Memphis Named Least Credit-Worthy City In U.S.

Memphis is the least credit-worthy city in the United States, according to a new TransUnion report.

Approximately one-third of households are unbanked, and payday loan shops, title loan firms and pawn shops are increasing in popularity in the Tennessee metropolis, reports BankCreditNews.com. McAllen, Texas and Jackson, Mississippi finished as the second and third least-credit worthy cities, respectively. San Diego, California and Madison, Wisconsin earned the highest scores.
