HSBC, Intel Form Cross-Border Partnership In China

UnionPay’s share of the global credit and debit card transaction volume for the first half of 2012 was 23.8 percent, placing it second in the world behind Visa, according to Bloomberg.
UnionPay now also reaches around the same number of U.S. merchants as Visa and MasterCard thanks to a deal with Discover, and also maintains a strong market lead in China.
