Square Cash announced a new cash request feature this week that only requires the use of an email.
Those who are trying to receive money from someone send an email via the Square Cash app, the company said in a Feb. 13 press release.
“Square Cash is revolutionizing the way people exchange value by creating the easiest, most accessible way to send and receive money without having to sign up or even create an account,” the company said. “The new request feature makes it effortless to collect money – staving off those awkward conversations with friends and colleagues about the money they owe you. With Square Cash, anyone can now request money for everything from concert tickets and vacation rentals to class field trips and college textbooks.”
The service is free and does not require a membership with Square. Square Cash is available for both Android and iOS.
