AmEx Hires Boku's Yoo to Lead Commerce Innovation

American Express brought on two new hires from outside firms — including the former Senior Vice President of Strategy at Boku — to lead its U.S. Consumer Services team.

David Yoo is a former SVP at Boku, as well as a one-time Principal Product Manager at PayPal. During his time with the mobile payment specialist, Yoo helped Boku reach more than 25 million consumers in 66 countries through 240 carrier partners, a release confirms.

Amex’s other new hire is Katrina Lane, former Chief Technology Officer for Caesers Entertainment. Lane will assume the role of Executive Vice President of Amex’s Consumer Cards and Experiences Team, while Yoo has been named Senior Vice President of Commerce Innovation.
