Square’s New Small Merchant Niche: Artists and Artisans

Merchants at art fairs and fashion events are frequently using Square to accept payment, according to TechCrunch.

At Etsy’s New York’s Spring Handmade Cavalcade, which took place last weekend, more than 90% of vendors used Square to accept payments, TechCrunch says. And Square says “many vendors” at Unique LA, one of the nation’s biggest independent fashion events, will use their reader to swipe credit cards.
