Contactless Payments Tapped for 2012 Olympic Games
The behemoth of sporting events in planning to throw contactless payments into the mix at the 2012 Olympics in London, according to a report by PointOfSale.com.
Visa and Samsung have debuted a mobile payments application that will enable visitors to utilize their smartphones as payment tools during the games.
Currently, there are plans for as many as 3,000 terminals to be installed at various venues to showcase the up-and-coming technology.
