Just In Time For 500 Startups Demo Day, WalletKit Makes Debut
WalletKit, a platform that allows businesses to make passes for mobile wallet apps such as Passbook, has officially launched today. The company’s debut comes just one week before 500 Startups’ Demo Day, notes TechCrunch.
The company offers both APIs for developers and do-it-yourself visual-based pass-building tools for those without technical knowledge. But what makes it more unique is its back-end, TechCrunch noted. Through an online dashboard, businesses can track users’ engagement with passes, run reports, and most importantly, update their passes in real-time with just a few clicks.
TechCrunch wrote: "Passbook itself already offers update functionality, to be clear, WalletKit just wants to make that technology accessible to the layperson through an easy-to-use online interface."
