Giftcards.com Hires Former SkyMall COO To Lead Its Own Operations

Giftcards.com hired Jay Scannell, former chief operting officer for SkyMall, to be its own COO.

Scannell joined SkyMall in 1998 as a business analyst, Internet Retailer notes. In April of this year, the company was purchased by Bookspan, after reporting $76.6 million in sales for 2011.

Giftcards.com began operating in 1999, and today facilitates the sale of digital and physical prepaid debit and gift cards.
