Subway POS Scammer Sees Jail Time

Romanian man Cezar Butu has been sentenced to 21 months in jail after pleading guilty to once count of conspiracy to commit access device fraud by scamming POS systems in U.S. Subway sandwich shops.

Butu was part of a four-man gang that hacked the POS systems of over 200 retail outlets and acquired cardholder information from 140 accounts, notes Finextra.
