McAfee: Mobile Malware "Explodes" in Q1 2012, Especially on Android

Mobile payment players take note: malware, the dangerous form of software used for cyberattacks, saw a huge increase in incidences on mobile devices in the first quarter of 2012, according to TechCrunch.

The report cites new data published by McAfee, which said that mobile malware is up more than 1,000 percent over the quarter. Most of the threats McAfee identified targeted Android devices, the report says.
