Global Payments Removed from "Some" PCI Lists
Global Payments confirmed this week that "some card brands" have removed the payment processor from their PCI compliance lists, Finextra reports.
Immediately after Global Payments' data breach in March, affecting 1.5 million people, Visa was one of the first to dock Global's status. This week the company has confirmed that other card companies followed Visa's lead shortly after.
To be sure, the actions taken by the card companies only requires that Global revalidate its status; it can continue to process cards in the meantime, Finextra explains.
