Australia’s Commonwealth Bank launched a full suite of products to help retailers process payments at the point of sale.
The suite includes CommBank Albert, an Android-powered tablet device that works as a register for merchants; CommBank Pi, a point-of-sale software platform; AppBank, a B2B app store through which developers can deliver application solutions to merchants using Pi; and CommBank Leo, for use with the iPhone.
The POS product suite is expected to be available in the second quarter of 2013.
