Geode Raises $190K in Five Days, 1,200+ Units Sold

We recently introduced you to Geode, a product that iCache founder Jon Ramaci describes as “the world’s most advanced wallet.” The Geode — a case for iPhone 4 and 4S that combines all your payment cards into once device — is not yet available in stores, but it can be bought via social-savvy fundraising site Kickstarter.

Ramaci first made the Geode available on Kickstarter less than a week ago, and since then the numbers have been eye popping: more than 1,200 units sold, and more than $195,000 in funds raised. You can’t fault Ramaci for his assessment of consumer feedback: “The response has been amazing,” he states boldly. We asked Ramaci to expound.

“The Geode is certainly redefining the mobile payments space and bringing a solution to consumers that they clearly want,” he says. “Unlike other technologies in mobile payments that can take years to deploy, and are confusing and unsecure, we believe we have struck the right balance of what the ecosystem truly wants and needs and this is reflected in our success.”

And, the dagger: “The Geode is bringing mobile payments to life within 90 days and without asking any key players in the ecosystem to change anything or bet on a yet-to-be adopted technology!”
