New Celebrity Moves On Debit Card Trend

Personal finance expert Suze Orman is the latest celebrity to launch a prepaid debit card. However, the development has garnered conflicting reviews, according to the Credit Union Times.

The card type, known as a decoupled debit card, relies on ACH transactions to transfer money from cardholders’ deposit accounts. Additionally, the card can also pick up funds via direct or cash deposits.

Recently, 24/7 Visa Prepaid Card landed a “knockout” celebrity endorser of its own: world boxing champ Manny Pacquiao. Pacquiao has become a shareholder and spokesperson for the 24/7 Visa® Prepaid Debit + Remit Card to support his fellow Filipinos and other immigrants around the world, according to the company’s website.
