MasterCard Gives Us The Skinny On Signing With Shopkick

There are many reasons why MasterCard sees Shopkick as a perfect partner for the future of loyalty and mobile commerce. But one stands out.

As MasterCard Vice President of Commerce Solutions Andrea Gilman explains: Shopkick makes shopping fun. Consumers love deals and offers, Gilman says, and they love to shop with their phones, both for research and for making payments. By combining the two, Shopkick delivers an upgraded commerce experience to customers at well-known retailers, with whom Shopkick already has partnerships in place.

And by directly linking MasterCard’s payment products to Shopkick’s loyalty platform, consumers are able to receive what Gilman refers to as “immediate gratification” for their purchases: no cutting out coupons and saving them in a wallet, just instant redemption as soon as a shopper sets foot inside the retailer’s door.
