Ohio Eliminates Overdraft Fees from Unemployment Benefit Prepaid Cards

The prepaid card used by the Ohio state goverment to deliver unemployment benefits to its citizens will no longer charge overdraft fees, according to Policy Matters Ohio.

The Reliacard, issued by U.S. Bank, had charged consumers a $17 overdraft fee on unfunded transactions. The practice will be ended effective Wednesday, July 18, the report says.
