Romney, Gingrich Vow Repeal of Dodd-Frank

Republican presidential candidates Newt Gingrich and Mitt Romney have called out Dodd-Frank as one of the root causes of Florida’s housing market decline, according to a report by Credit Newsline.

“Dodd-Frank is a direct hit on the housing system in Florida,” said Gingrich, according to the Guardian. “You get regulators out of the way and you will, in fact, find it easier to sell houses, and you will see the prices of houses go back up.”

“Now, the banks aren’t bad people, they’re just overwhelmed right now,” Romney noted.
