Drysdale spent five years at WorldPay before joining Heartland’s leadership team “” and that was after more than a decade at First Data Corp.,where he held a variety of positions. We ask Drysdale about the impact his previous experience will have on his efforts to master a new space, and what he sees happening in his part of the payments industry over the next several months.

Ian M. Drysdale, President – Network Solutions is responsible for Heartland’s growth in the eCommerce, retail, rewards marketing, and petroleum marketplaces.

Mr. Drysdale has more than 20 years of experience in developing and managing new markets for payments leaders at both the point of sale and online, with a track record of recognizing and exploiting opportunities resulting in both enhanced revenue and market share.

Prior to joining Heartland, Mr. Drysdale spent five years at WorldPay™ with his most recent position being senior vice president of product and industry relations. He was promoted into that role from senior vice president, market development – national business unit. During his tenure, WorldPay developed many vertical markets and substantially increased share.

Before WorldPay, Mr. Drysdale held market-focused executive positions with First Data Corporation. These roles included vice president of enterprise customer development, vice president of the Discover portfolio, vice president of Internet commerce, and vice president of product management. The roles included developing IP in mobile offers, POS advertising, and transaction routing.

Mr. Drysdale holds a Bachelor of Arts from Bishop’s University (Canada) and a Master of Business Administration from Florida Atlantic University.
