Airtel, an India-based provider of mobile prepaid and postpaid products, has launched a new mobile payment service that allows customers of the North Bihar Power Distribution Company to pay their electricity bills, The Paypers reported on August 9.
The service is open to customers in 21 districts. Users pay bills by sending SMS messages through their mobile phones.
