Alliance Data Acquires BrandLoyalty Stake In Global Pivot

Loyalty and marketing solutions provider Alliance Data announced that its subsidiary LoyaltyOne will take a majority ownership stake in BrandLoyalty, a November 5 press release revealed.

Netherlands-based BrandLoyalty’s international reach is a primary reason why Alliance Data sought the 60 percent ownership stake, according to the release. Bryan Pearson, LoyaltyOne’s president, said in a statement that the purchase opens doors to new, emerging markets.

“This transaction provides LoyaltyOne a significant opportunity to expand its footprint beyond the Americas and into the European and Asian markets,” Pearson said.
