Amazon Faces Warehouse Scrutiny

Amazon is facing fresh scrutiny over work conditions and labor relations within its ever-expanding network of warehouses, AllThingsD reported on December 21.

Labor-related issues are plaguing the company on several fronts. According to the report, a union vote in Delaware is set for January, and a federal investigation, led by the Occupational Safety and Health Administration, will soon investigate a fatality at a facility run by an Amazon contractor.

Amazon’s labor problems have gone global in recent weeks, as demonstrated by strikes in Germany. According to AllThingsD, a related protest was held in Seattle last week.
