The price of a single bitcoin has risen past the $1,000 mark, TechCrunch reported on November 27.
The development comes after weeks of steadily rising prices on BTC. Earlier in the day, the price of one BTC rose above $1,050 on the Mt. Gox exchange. According to Wired, strong demand from China is one contributing factor to the price increase.
