Majority Of U.K. Consumers Say Mobile Payments Aren’t Safe

The majority of mobile device owners in the U.K. are against using mobile payments technology at the point of sale, Finextra reported on December 6.
 
A survey from YouGuv, a global research and consulting organization, showed that 56 percent of U.K. consumers don’t feel that mobile payments technology is secure enough.
 
Another 39 percent said that they see no use for such technology, even if it comes installed on their phones.
 
But, while they might not yet be open to making payments through the channel, U.K. consumers have fully embraced mobile shopping. According to Rakuten, 14 percent of U.K. consumers use a mobile device as a primary shopping channel. To learn more, read the full story here .
