Senator Reid: Vote To Confirm CFPB’s Richard Cordray To Come This Week

Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid (D. Nev,) said that he will hold a vote to confirm CFPB Director Richard Cordray’s nomination this week, according to BankCreditNews.com.

“I’m going to make sure he’s going to have a vote next week, and then we’ll see what happens after that,” Reid said on May 15. “I’m looking at this very closely… We’re going to fill that job. Cordray is there now. He’s going to get a vote.”

Cordray’s initial reappointment to the position of director was ruled unconstitutional back in January.
