Square Loses Co-Founder Tristan O’Tierney
Square co-founder Tristan O’Tierney has left the company, he announced on Twitter on Saturday night.
O’Tierney co-founded Square with Jack Dorsey in 2009 and focused on the iOS app that accompanies Square’s physical reader. VentureBeat noted that O’Tierney created the Obama 2008 iPhone app and met Dorsey at an iPhone DevCamp the same year.
O’Tierney joins former COO Keith Rabois, former VP of International Alyssa Cutright and VP of Partnership Alex Petrov as some high-profile employees Square has lost this year.
