The Treasury Department said it will receive $894 million from the sale of debt issued by Citi for funds under the Asset Guarantee Program, notes American Banker.
The sale would end the Treasury’s ownership of securities in CitiGroup, and will bring the total return on the $45 billion given to the company to $13.4 billion.
