‘Dark Wallet’ for Bitcoin Launches This Week

The new eWallet will encrypt bitcoins after a purchase so no one can trace where and who it came from.

The founder of Dark Wallet, Cody Wilson, had a goal to create something that would take virtual currency “off the grid,” according to The Wall Street Journal.  Now the new eWallet will be launching on Thursday.

Dark Wallet is designed to encrypt bitcoins as they are spent, this males it harder for others to see who is buying it.  The founder essentially wants people to have the capability to buy whatever they want, whether its music, guns or drugs.

“Is it at the level where grandma can be mixing bitcoins and becoming the next drug kingpin? No,” Wilson told WSJ in an interview on Tuesday. “I think it’s ripe for the initiated to begin experimenting.”
