Jewelry Start-up Chloe+Isabel Adds Virtual Edge to Direct Selling

Chloe+Isabel sellers will be able to present during their products on a virtual trunk show on a mobile device.

You won’t have to worry about that jewelry lady knocking on your door to book a party, because Chloe+Isabel sellers will just reach you through your mobile device.

This New York City startup has grown 250 percent over the past year, and was founded by CEO Chantel Waterbury in 2011.  So far the company has raised $18 million from investors and will involve an app and a HTML5 platform to host virtual events, according to TechCrunch.

Chloe+Isabel sellers will be able to select the jewelry they want to present during the virtual trunk show on their mobile devices and then send an invitation with its start time.

“While in-person selling is important, social media is now such an integral part of how we communicate with one another,” Waterbury told TechCrunch. “It’s crucial that the direct selling industry be updated for the present day, which means providing direct sellers with the online marketing support, technological innovation, and continuous education they need to be successful.”
