Mobile Named Top Ad Trend For 2014

2014 is set to be the year of mobile advertising, AdRoll’s Adam Berke suggested in a December 31 VentureBeat commentary.

Berke cited research from eMarketer showing that mobile ad spending jumped from $1.6 billion to $4.4 billion. The total could rise to nearly $10 billion for 2013, he suggested.

Companies specializing in desktop ads will begin making serious investments in mobile ads this year, Berke added.

”As overall spend in mobile gets to a place where it can sustain a thriving ecosystem, the big players from the desktop display world will start to move in,” he wrote.
