Square will open a new satellite headquarters in New York City this summer that will house up to 350 employees, according to GIGAOM.
Square says that the company is aggressively hiring engineers, designers, support representatives and other staff.
The new office will be located in the SoHo neighborhood at on Broadway, just a few blocks away from up-and-coming competitor ShopKeep.
Square is currently located in San Francisco, Santa Clara in CA, Atlanta, Tokyo and Waterloo, Canada.
