University of Dubai Opts For New ERP System

The University of Dubai announced last Wednesday (Aug. 27) that it had selected Three Rivers Systems’ CAMS Enterprise as its new enterprise resource planning (ERP) software. According to a Three Rivers statement, ease of use and a completely integreated offering were key factors in the university’s decision.

“Our institution is in the midst of a strategic plan that includes building a state-of-the-art campus and aligning with leading companies to become a training center for technology innovation,” university President Dr. Eesa M. Bastaki said. “We realized that the limitations of our current ERP system were not able to support our broader vision, so we started looking at alternative solutions.

Bastaki added that CAMS Enterprise was chosen because of its simplicity, comprehensive functionality and that it could be managed with fewer IT resources. Moreover, the system “fully supports our long-term mission for growth and efficiency,” Bastaki said.

Three Rivers is honored to have been chosen for its ERP software, said company president and founder, Amir Tajkarimi.

“The University of Dubai offers an extraordinary variety of business and IT programs and is unique among leading institutions of learning in the region,” Tajkarimi said. “The university has matched the growth of the United Arab Emirates and has formed a close bond with the region’s business community.”
