Chase’s Home Page Gets An Optimized Redesign

Chase’s online banking portal now has a brand new look and feel, bringing a mobile-like experience to both desktops and tablets.

The U.S. consumer and commercial banking business announced the launch of its redesigned home page today (July 21), featuring simpler navigation and design while providing a consistent user experience across all access points.

“We just made it easier for our customers to live and bank the way they want,” Gavin Michael, Head of Digital for Chase, said in a company release. “We’re excited to bring the look and feel that customers love on the Chase Mobile app to their desktops and tablets.”

The five ways in which Chase said its home page redesign will benefit customers include:

  • Localized images will be used for returning visitors
  • A newsfeed-like scroll will allow easy access to relevant content
  • The site menu is always in sight, no matter where the user navigates
  • Customers can see and explore new financial offerings, from checking accounts to credit cards
  • The News & Stories section will feature timely guidance and insights

Chase’s home page redesign is part of the company’s ongoing digital transformation efforts, which recently included embracing fingerprint TouchID as a login option on its iPhone mobile app.

With the upgrade, Chase customers are asked upon login if that customer would like to use the biometric login feature. While a password is still needed for some further aspects of the app, for many, the ease of TouchID will be a quicker mode to login to the most basic banking essentials.

Chase said customers can expect to see even more digital upgrades in the near future, identifying planned enhancements to account pages and other online features slated to launch later this year.

“If customers like the new look and feel of the home page, they’re going to love when they see what’s behind the sign in as we begin to roll the new account experience out later this fall,” Michael said.
