Big Data Banking For Small Biz Needs

When it comes to Big Data and finance, analytics can arm businesses with a level of insight into their cash flow never before seen. Small businesses, however, don’t always have the resources to implement a data analytics program into their treasury management processes.

D3 Banking, which describes itself as data-driven and digital, has just launched a solution to pull small businesses into the data analytics world of finance management.

The company said Thursday (Sept. 17) that it is rolling out D3 Small Business Banking at the Finovate Fall event in New York City.

According to D3, small businesses are often served by banks or credit unions through treasury management systems that don’t always have the flexibility to fit their needs. D3’s new banking service designed for SMEs includes pre-formatted income and cash flow statements, analytics reports of expenses and income and modifiable and customizable budget plans.

D3’s new small business tool also integrates with mobile devices, including the Apple Watch, the company said.

“An innovative set of small business services can be a great differentiator for any financial institution,” said D3 Banking CEO Mark Vipond in a statement. “D3 Small Business Banking’s powerful data analytics offer these business owners valuable insights that are otherwise difficult to access by automatically generating the reports required to manage their organizations’ finances.”

Vipond added that the banking solution also eases payments for SMEs that may not be familiar with the technical knowhow of payments rails and technology. “Our money movement service for small businesses simplifies the process of making payments, removing the need for them to know the difference between bill pay, A2A, P2P, ACH or wire payments,” he stated.
