Billtrust and ecmarket, two companies that focus on business process automation, are joining forces to ease the AP process of wholesale distributors, according to reports.

The companies revealed Tuesday (Jan. 12) that they will be collaborating to provide distributors with their combined services; Billtrust automates the invoice-to-cash process, while ecmarket automates the processing of received AP invoices and purchase orders through its Conexiom solution, linking the data from these documents into existing ERP systems.

“Ecmarket and Billtrust are both committed to delivering solutions with an excellent ROI,” stated Billtrust CEO and Founder Flint Lane. “Our partnership is a natural extension of our shared purpose of helping businesses be more productive and efficient by automating key business processes.”

Brent Halverson, president and CEO of ecmarket, offered up a similar sentiment. “This partnership with Billtrust will help distributors increase profitability by establishing substantial improvements to how purchase orders and supplier AP invoices are processed,” he said in a statement.

The companies will reportedly start a joint marketing campaign and will host a webinar that introduces Conexiom to existing Billtrust clients.

Werner Electric Supply is one customer of both ecmarket and Billtrust and provided a statement on how the companies’ pairing will bring efficiency to the firm.

“Both companies automate complex accounting and sales processes and bring outstanding productivity and efficiency improvements to customer service and accounting teams,” Troy Entwisle, director of sales productivity at Werner, said in a statement.
