VeriFone Systems, Inc. (NYSE: PAY) today announced that its Point Group is providing key payment services for the GoMcDo online mobile ordering system utilized by McDonald’s diners in France.
McDonald’s selected Point's PAYBOX Services offering to process payments for its GoMcDo pre-order service. The GoMcDo app for mobile phones utilizes the PAYBOX gateway service, so that consumers can place their order and enter payment information or access stored payment information from the app, then go to the specified McDonald’s location and complete their transaction at an unattended device where they receive a ticket for fast-track food pickup.
“Point’s work with McDonald’s in France provides yet another example of how VeriFone’s payments-as-a-service solutions integrate the worlds of traditional point of sale and mobile payments,” said Point CEO Johan Tjärnberg.
PAYBOX Services provides a secure platform for processing electronic payments from a range of sales channels, including call centers, data input centers, interactive voice servers and complex processing on e-commerce sites.
