A.M. Best Withdraws Ratings of Reassure America Life Insurance Company Due to Legal Merger

A.M. Best Co. has withdrawn the financial strength rating (FSR) of A+ (Superior) and the issuer credit rating (ICR) of “aa-“ of Reassure America Life Insurance Company (REALIC) (Fort Wayne, IN) following its legal merger into its parent, Jackson National Life Insurance Company (Jackson) (Lansing, MI).

This transaction closed on December 31, 2012, and at that time, all assets and liabilities of REALIC were merged into Jackson. Jackson currently has an FSR of A+ (Superior) and an ICR of “aa-” with a stable outlook.
