Larry Harding of High Street Partners (www.hsp.com) is now an Ernst & Young Entrepreneur Of The Year® 2013 Award winner in Maryland. The EoY award is given to outstanding high-growth entrepreneurs who demonstrate excellence and extraordinary success in such areas as innovation, financial performance, and personal commitment to their businesses and communities. The finalists and winners were selected by an independent panel of judges, and honored at an invitation-only black tie gala at the Baltimore Marriott Waterfront on June 26.
Ernst & Young’s Entrepreneur Of The Year® is the world’s most prestigious business award for entrepreneurs, recognizing the significant contributions of business leaders who inspire others with their vision, leadership and achievement. Harding will now compete at the national level this November in Palm Springs, CA, when the EoY finalists and winners will be named during the culminating event of the EY Strategic Growth Forum, a weeklong gathering of high-growth, market-leading companies.
“This award is one I share with everyone on our team, past and present, since all of us have contributed to our success and growth,” says Harding. “I’m honored the judges have singled us out for the innovative, technology-based solutions we’ve built. Everything we do is focused on helping headquarters-based personnel deal with the entire spectrum of Finance & Accounting, Human Resources, and Legal complexities companies face when operating overseas. E&Y’s recognition will further inspire us as we help our customers capitalize on their international opportunities, and avoid the numerous pitfalls and risks associated with doing so.”
Now in its 27th year, the Entrepreneur Of The Year Program has honored the inspirational leadership of such entrepreneurs as Howard Schultz of Starbucks Coffee Company, Arthur M. Blank of AMB Group, LLC (The Home Depot, Atlanta Falcons), Pierre Omidyar of eBay Inc., Ruth Fertel of Ruth’s Chris Steak House, Maxine Clark of Build-A-Bear Workshop, Inc., Tom Adams of Rosetta Stone, Reid Hoffman and Jeff Weiner of LinkedIn, and 2012 winner Hamdi Ulukaya, founder of Chobani Inc.
